Grade 1 English

Grade 1 English

In Grade 1 English, we learn how to read, write, talk, and listen better. We start by learning how to say letter sounds and put them together to read words. We also learn some words that we see a lot, so we can recognize them quickly. When we write, we practice making our letters neat and spelling words correctly. We learn how to write sentences with capital letters and periods. We talk about things in class and listen to others too. We read stories, write in journals, and talk about what we learn. Grade 1 English helps us become good at reading, writing, and talking with others.
